Thanks to the suggestions of several of you great luthiers, I've learned to cover up another mistake. I cut my fretboard off at the last fret and added another 3/4". It looks workable to me.

There's a scratch or two that will come out in my leveling operations, but I think it looks pretty good.

Thanks, guys.

I also cut the last slot wider so I can gently install a fret there.

Wow, that looks great, Ron. Now, where are the guys who say us old dogs can't learn new tricks?

Ebony is sure forgiving. I once drilled all the fretboard markers in the wrong positions. I filled them with ebony dust and c.a. and re drilled. You couldn't tell. Looks good Ron, all that worry for nothing.

Wow Ron, exceptional. Are you sure there is a joint there? I certainly can't see it. GOOD JOB!

I appreciate it fellows. One trait a luthier needs is confidence. I'm really learning a lot, and it isn't just the knowledge that you guys share so willingly, it is the encouragement, too.

Thanks, again

Ron
